Meet the Pastors

Pastor Kirk Rowe,
Senior Pastor

I have had the honor of serving as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Albion since 1994. My wife Lesia and I are both originally from different parts of Kentucky. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Social Work. During our studies at college, we were both active in Campus Crusade for Christ. Summer mission trips to Zimbabwe and Argentina had a great impact on my life and calling. After working for several years as a Social Worker, we relocated to Fort Worth Texas so I could attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I earned a Master of Divinity Degree. God has blessed us with five children.

My desire for our First Baptist of Albion is to have a church that is well balanced, highly committed to mission work and able to meet the needs of all ages of people from the youngest to oldest. To do this we will need to take the command and commission of Jesus in Matthew 22:37-39 and Matthew 28:19,20 to heart.

“… Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind … and love your neighbor as yourself.”, and “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

It is my hope that you will accept our invitation to visit our church and join us for any of the activities you see on this web site.

God bless you,

Kirk Rowe, Pastor
