The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty, instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Brotherhood

Brotherhood Director: Richard Wright

The Brotherhood has a men & boys’ Prayer Breakfast the first Sunday of each month at 7:45 a.m. It is a great time of bonding for the men and boys of the church.

Our local Brotherhood works in conjunction with the National, State, and Associational Disaster Relief Teams. Men from our church have responded to national disasters in New York, Louisiana, Texas, and Missouri as well as our local area doing tree removal and roofing.

The Brotherhood sponsors R.A's for boys in Grades 1-6 now meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights.

The Brotherhood also sponsors the following annual events during the year:

Easter Morning: All church breakfast between Sunrise Service and Sunday School

May: Mothers and daughters are invited to join Prayer Breakfast in honor of Mothers’ Day

Summer: Fishing Event and Evening Fish Fry (TBD)
