Comming Events:
GWBA Youth Trip to Paoli Peaks February 4, 2012
Youth in the 7thgrade – college age are invited to go to skiing at Paoli Peaks in Indiana with youth from the Greater Wabash Baptist Association on February 4th. For members of the Sunday School or Church the cost will be $25 per person for others it will be $49 and this fee includes all day skiing, skis and snowboard. Lunch will be provided (pizza) at Paoli, each youth will need to bring enough money to cover their own snacks, drinks and supper on the way home. Youth will leave the church at 6:45 am and will return to the church at approx. 8:00 p.m. Money and permission slips (mandatory) must be returned to the church on or before Jan. 22nd. See Joe Wildt if you would like more information on dates and costs or need permission slip.
GWBA Youth Movie Night January 21, 2012
Bring your friends, on Saturday, Jan. 21st to the youth movie night at the GWBA office in Fairfield. Pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m. and then the movie “Courageous” will be shown. Please let Youth Pastor Joe Wildt know if you are interested in attending.
Sunday February 5, 2012 Super bowl Sunday. We will watch the big game and eat food. Most important will be the half time presentation.
In planning Stage: We are planning a day of service to Edwards County for youth April 21st. the first planning meeting will be Monday February 27th.

The last Sunday of every month the youth will have a fun night at 6:00 p.m. Youth in the 7-12th grades are invited to come for Bible study the first part of the month and then on the last Sunday to play games, have snacks and just have fun. Sunday January 30, 2011 Samaria Baptist Church will be joining us here for the evening worship service at 6:00 p.m. Their Pastor, John MacDonald will be giving the message. The Youth group will be hosting the youth from Samaria. The youth group will discuss plans for next Sunday’s shared youth time. Youth please come January 23 to Youth group and add your input. Everyone should bring a finger food or light snack to share with our sister church following the worship service.

6-8 Youths are needed to go to Fairfield to help do some painting for the association on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Youth will leave the church at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning to paint the GWBA associational office lunch will be provided for those who go to paint. Youth may sign up tonight or tell Youth Pastor Joe Wildt today.

Sunday February 6, 2011 will be the Super Bowl party from 5-9pm The game will be on the big screen. There will also be other games available for those who do not want to watch the game. The big sub will make another appearance this year as well as a half-time challenge from Mike Singletary ( former NFL player and coach) via video. Anyone who would like to bring snacks for the youth is welcome to do so. Youth are encouraged to invite their friends.

We are planning a world changers mission trip again this summer. June 20-25, 2011 @ Owensboro Ky. Joe has permission slips and information letter if you have not got one yet. Permission slips and $10 of the registration must be turned in on or before January 30th if you want to go. All youth entering 7th grade next school year through college age are able to attend. We may need scholarship money to help youth with registration (Total cost for them is $50) If anyone wants to contribute to a scholarship, please see Youth Pastor, Joe Wildt for more information.

Baptist Children's Carnival Booth
The Youth will be running a dunking booth and face painting station at the 2010 Baptist Children's Home Carnival. The Carnival will be held Saturday September, 18th at the Baptist Children’s Home in Carmi, IL. If you have any questions please contact the church office or Joe Wildt.

Super Bowl Sunday
On February 7, 2010 from 5pm – 9pm we will have the game on the big screen in the youth room with food and other games as well. Half-time devotion and gospel presentation.
World Changers
5 youth and 2 adults plan to join a World Changers ministry team on June 21-26 in Springfield.
The Blaze
Good Friday April 2nd will be THE BLAZE youth outreach.
Church Camp
We will begin promoting church camp in March.
Known Study
The Sunday school and Wednesday Night live study is about True Peace this month.
Fund Raisers
On Saturday February 27th we will be cooking chowder.
We need about $2,500 dollars for world changers, to send our kids to church camp, and the blaze.
