We were up from February’s 182 unique visitors to 233. We had 295 visits compared with February’s 241. This was 1.26 visits per visitor. There was an average of 23.46 pages per visit (6922 total pages compared to February’s 3357) and an average of 33.95 hits per visit. Total hits went up from 5700 to 10007 in March.

When you enter the Media-Center you will see that I have installed a few Dewey Decimal System shelf guides to help you to locate media.

CHECK OUT PROCEEDURES:
Please be sure to sign and date the circulation (charging) card and leave it in the front of the black charging card tray on the table by the check out sheet.
The (green) charging cards for audio/visuals are in the audio/visual tray also located on the table. Find it, sign & date it, and place it in the black charging card tray
Charging cards for books are found in the books pocket in back or in front of the book.

When returning media, find the entry on the check out sheet and enter the returned date. Place the media in the Return Media Box on the table. Do not place media back on the shelf. I will recover the charging card and reshelf the items. If a book pocket has come unglued please leave it in the return media box so that it is not lost. When you return the book I will reattach it. If it is lost I have to print out a whole set of labels. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Thus far only 22 members have logged in and created an account which allows access to the Member Resources section of the site. One did not use the required Username configuration which is Firstname.Lastname. Actually several didn't put the “.” between their first and last name, but that's ok. But I can't give people access if I don't know who they are because they didn’t use the requested configuration and they haven’t sent an email requesting access. Most of the 22 who have activated an account have not been logging in since they first set up the account (most 35-23 weeks ago) so they have not been accessing the Member Resources. My User log on the site shows me the last time a person was logged in. If you have the computer remember your password, it will still show the last time that you logged in. If you have forgotten your password, please email:webmaster@fbcai.org and I will send you a new temporary password which you can change once logged in.

I want to encourage everyone to “Create an Account” on our web site. Please use Firstname.Lastname format as your user name and then type in your email address. Doing so will open up another area of the site which may be useful to you. Members of FBC and those enrolled in our Sunday School may request access to “Member Resources” after creating an account by emailing webmaster@fbcai.org.

As administrator I want to know if there is anything you want promoted for your department or ministry. You can attach the information to an email and send to webmaster@fbcai.org. Jordan has suggested putting the church softball league schedule online when ball season begins which is a great idea and I will do that as soon as I get the schedule. If there is anything you would like to have available on the web tell me your ideas.

I hope to begin a shelf inventory check of the media this month. If you have media past due please return it if you have finished with it. Please renew the media for another two week period if you're not finished with it so that I know you are still using it and haven’t just forgotten to return the media. I could use some help with the inventory. If that is something you could do please contact me.

The Media Center had the web site up and going as of March 1st. I suggest that the church send a thank you note to Michael Frankland for setting up the site and paying the fees to the site host. We can be located at http://www.fbcai.org. As administrator I want to know if there is anything you want promoted for your department or ministry. You can attach the information to an email and sent to webmaster@fbcai.org .

The Media Center web page is listed under “Ministries”. There is an Excel document link which list the media by Subject, Title, Author, Type, or Status. If you see media you wish to check out you may reserve it by contacting mediacenter@fbcai.org. I will locate it and have it ready for you the following Wed. or Sunday. If it is in use I will notify you when it is available.

The Media Center is having a “No Fee” return opportunity beginning now and lasting through Easter. I will be doing a shelf inventory after Easter.
