Used Shoe and Boot Collection
The children’s ministries of the church are collecting used shoes of all sizes. They will be taken to Mt. Vernon to the Children’s Ministry Day on March 10th. The shoes are sent overseas. Some are sold at low cost for families in need. The money generates jobs and raises funds to buy water well supplies to provide clean drinking water in rural areas of Kenya. Shoe collection boxes are in hallways.
Greeters & Ushers
If you have been searching for a way to help in the church or a ministry to others please consider becoming a greeter or an usher. Greeters welcome people to our church and hand out bulletins at the door before Sunday school. Ushers greet people before worship and hand out bulletins and then collect the offering during the worship service. If you would be interested please mark a prayer card with your interest and return it in the offering or to the church office.
Homecoming Plans Begin
As you may or may not know the First Baptist Church of Albion is approaching its centennial birthday. It is our hope to have a wonderful homecoming celebration. If you have any old pictures of members or of the building or events that you would be willing to share please contact Dennis Splittorff or the church office. The pictures will be returned and it would be extremely helpful if you could give them with a list of who appears in the picture and the approximate year. If you have the addresses of any who might want to celebrate with us please send those to the church office in an email or a note.
If you would be willing to help make plans for this important day in the history of our family please let us know of your interest as soon as possible!
Men & Boy’s Prayer Breakfast
The Brotherhood invites all the men and boys of the church to meet on the first Sunday of every month in the fellowship hall for breakfast. The breakfast is free but donations are accepted. This is a great time for the men of the church to get together and join in fellowship or breakfast. Please see Richard Wright, Brotherhood Director if you are interested in helping with or if you have any questions about the breakfast.
